He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lester and Orpha Githens; and his siblings, Paul (Aileen), John (Juanita), Charles (Lois), Carl (Phyllis), Larry Githens, Joan Wolfe (Leroy) and Ruth Greiner.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" (Piotrowska); his children, Richard "Rick" Githens and Deborah "Debbie" Wietzel (Michael); his grandchildren, Halle, Cameron and Owynn Githens; his sisters, Dorothy Githens, Marti Morgan (Dick) and Linda Wasleff (John); and his friends, Dick and Evelyn Blackstone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
