He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd W. Gardner and Elizabeth Irene Beetley Gardner; and his brother Thomas A. Gardner. He is survived by: his wife S. Chloetene Gardner; his children, Cynthia K. Sailus (Ray) of Novi, Michigan, Christopher P. Gardner of Savannah and John R. Gardner (Kristin) of Danville, California; his brother Gayle W. Gardner (Carolyn) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Bryan, Jenna, Brandon Miller, Katie Depping (Jackson), Colleen Gardner, Jackson and Josephine Gardner; and his close friends, Randy and Terri Bethel.
