With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nilah Jean Lewis of Centerville, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Nilah Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nilah Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenna Hoover and Perry Hoover; and her sister Mary Ellen Hayslip (late Jack Lewis). She is survived by: her daughter Karen Lewis Thompson (David) of Charleston, SC; and her great grandchild Cooper Lewis Feld.
