He is survived by: his wife Grace Averitt; his son Stephen Averitt (Paula); his grandchildren, Melinda Johnson (Dave) and Christopher Averitt; his son-in-law Christopher Popov; and his sisters, Connie Averitt Williams (Jim) and Chris Young (Bob). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
