She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Leland V. Hewitt and Eleanor Drysdale Hewitt; and her sisters, Eleanor and Donna. She is survived by: her husband Gordon A. Neufang; her children, Gordon W. Neufang (Mary), Katherine Reader and Susan Brademeyer (Tim); her grandchildren, Stephen Neufang (Britni), David Neufang, Molly Anderson (Erik), Sarah Loraine Picking (Chris), John "Jack" Sherman (Sola), Andrew Reader, Chris Brademeyer (Annaliese), Carolyn Brademeyer and Rachel Brademeyer; and her great grandchildren, Jake, Nick Neufang, Ellie and Zoey Picking.
She coordinated the bridge club and arranged to continue monthly Protestant communion services during Covid.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Loraine's memory to One Lincoln Park Christmas Fund.
