It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Kaloyanides McAlpine of Centerville, Ohio, born in Middletown, Ohio, who passed away on August 17, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Kaloyanides and Sue Kaloyanides. She is survived by: her children, Kathy, Jay, Scott (Karey), Chris (Beth), Greg (Erin) and Matt (Laura); her grandchildren, Lily, Riley, Katie, Aiden, Tessa, Callie, Chase, Alex, Owen, Mason and Reese; her husband Jay; her sisters, Connie Moxley (John) and Charrie Regopoulos (Nick); her uncle Denny Mardas (Suzanne); and her aunt Eva Kaloyanides George. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, in-laws, and cousins.
Her many contributions to the community included being one of the original creators of Dayton TWIG's cookbook Simply Sensational, associate board of the Dayton Art Institute, multiple PTOs, Philoptochos, Daugters of Penelope, and as the chair of the pastry booth at the Greek Festival for the past 15 years.
