He is survived by: his wife Paulette Jeckering (Schommer); his children, Joe Jr. (Karen), Chris (Sherri), Matthew (Sharon), Rob (Lisa) and Maria Wolff (Dan); his sister Joanne Winner (Ernie); his siblings-in-law, Patricia Florkey and Paul Schommer (Mickey); his grandchildren, Brad, Kyle, Chip, Cory, Zachary, Joshua, Alex, Samuel, Adam, Samantha West (Alex), Michael Hale (Jorden), David, Hayley Hale, Stefanie Wolff, Daniel Wolff and Bridgett Wolff; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Joseph, Mackenzie, Zoe and Moira. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home (5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (272 Bainbridge St, Dayton, OH 45402). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
