He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Catherine L. Kernan, (Duffy) and John Emmett Kernan, Sr.; his nephew Bob Hickey; his brother Tom Kernan; his wife JoAnne Kernan; his granddaughter Culp; and his children, Laura Heath (Charlie) of Houston, Maddie Culp (Dave) of Toledo, Susan Williams of Mesa, Arizona, John (Beth) of Centerville, Brian (Jeanne) of Centerville and Tim Kernan (Jill) of Centerville. He was also cherished by 13 granddaughters; 9 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.
