He was predeceased by: his mother Norvilla A. Copes. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Copes (Walters); his father Eugene L. Copes; his children, Alicia Copes, Scott Copes (Natalie) and Jennifer Copes; his stepchildren, Kim Hayslett (Shawn), Tim Woodard (Dottie) and Beth Bissell (George); his grandchildren, Taylor Pope, Antonio Ferguson and Lily Copes; his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Henderson (Dwayne), Kayla Woodard, Kelsey Frasher (Travis), Chevonne Hayslett, Nathaniel Hayslett, Caleb Bissell, Luke Bissell and Peyton Bissell; his great grandchild Joby Ferguson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Harper Henderson, Eleanor Henderson and Rowan Frasher; and his brothers, Brian Copes (Donna) and Douglas Copes. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
