She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Zapfe and Dora Zapfe; her husband Werner; and her brothers, Georg, Norbert and Manfred.
She is survived by: her children, Erwin (Julie), Karen Shields (Tim) and Elizabeth Schoettler (Ralph); her grandchildren, Stephan (Alicia), Matt, Nolan, Grace, Jack, Ava, Katherine, Nicole and Sean; her great grandchild Amelia; and her siblings-in-law, Leonore Zapfe, Jan Grunwald, Liane Grunwald and Hubert Grunwald.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimer's Association of Dayton.
