She was predeceased by: her parents, Friedriche Merck and Marie Merck (Buchstab); her brother Hermann Joseph Merck; her husband Helmut Ernst; and her son Thomas Frederick Kraft.

She is survived by: her children, Dieter Kraft (Sandra) of Atlanta, Georgia and Joan Brenner (Allan) of Dayton, Ohio; her daughter-in-law Suzanne Stevens of Seattle, Washington; her grandchild Carissa Milenkevich (Tom); her children, Raven, Sienna, Sage and Keith Kraft (Amanda); her grandchild Harmony; her child Kelley Sedgwick (Scott); her grandchildren, Jordan Clelend (Sean), Kendall and Conner Reidy; her son Kurt Kraft (Allison); and her grandchildren, Miriam, Richard, Nathaniel, Matthias, Gideon, Jeremiah and Robin Brenner.
