He was predeceased by: his wife Doris L. Schneider; his parents, Lena Schneider and Leo Schneider; and his siblings, Jean Weihrauch and Kenneth Schneider.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Kay Bennett (Kevin), Steven Michael Schneider (Lesa), Beth Anne Callahan (Bill Taggart) and Patricia Lynne Villers (Guy). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-granchildren, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
