It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carter A. Merris of Centerville, Ohio, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Merris and Doris Merris; and his sister Doris Pino. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; and his siblings, Charles, Stanley (Deb), Patrick (Lisa), Warren (Jean), Dennis (Karen), Richard (Kay), Phillip, William Merris and Jana Young.

His most notable contribution to remembering American history came in the form of his annual video recital of the Declaration of Independence, along with an explanation of its significance, which he posted on Facebook.
