He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Winifred Alexander, Sr. (Longenbacker); his former wife Doris "Ginny" Alexander; his wife Caryl Gerber; his son Richard Alexander; his granddaughter Mandi Alexander; and his siblings, Mary Lou Hood, Betty Crow and Edward Alexander.
He is survived by: his children-in-law, Karen Smith and Charles Smith.
