With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon M. Smith of Centerburg, Ohio, born in Newark, Ohio, who passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon M. Smith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smith and Lillie Smith (Maharg); and his wife Donna Mae Smith. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Kelly (Bill) and Bradley Smith (Teresa); his grandchildren, Tekela, Taylor, Whitney and Dakota; and his siblings, Georgine Kokensparger (Jerry) and Jimmy Smith. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
