“My twin brother John and I played for Coach Nocera at Whetstone from 1976 to 1978 as did many of my friends and teammates before and after us. Mr. Nocera taught us so much about discipline, competing, and winning. Many of those that played for him attained very successful careers and many remained involved with baseball, as I did. I ran the Men's Senior Baseball League here in Columbus for 20+ years and Fred frequently came out to watch us play while reading his Dispatch in the stands.”
