She was predeceased by: her parents, John Yancy and Margaret Frances Hankins (Spurgeon); and her husband George Carl Thatcher. She is survived by: her children, Lisa and John (Beth); her grandchildren, John (Brooke), Sam (Alyssa Radcliffe), Thomas, William (Kylee) and Sarah Anne; and her sister Nancy Thorpe. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to the Centerburg United Methodist Church.
