He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Houts and Rita Houts (Holtman); his daughter Chrissy Houts; his brother Ronald Houts (Betsy); and his siblings-in-law, Vern Balster and Trudy Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Houts (Hoselton); his children, Tressie Sigmond of Celina and Randy Houts (Stephanie) of Cridersville; his sister Patricia Balster of Celina; his grandchildren, Zach, Brooke (Jordan), Cody, Rosemary and Trevor; his great grandchildren, Baylor and Korbin; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Hoselton (Nancy) of Union City, Wayne Fisher of Celina and Sandy Gillis (Pat) of Fishers, Indiana..
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calendar Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (229 W Anthony St, Celina, OH 45822). A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM.
In honor of John's service and sacrifice, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
