He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis H. Gast and Leona M. Gast (Beckman); his wives, Marjorie and Abigail; his son Mark Gast; his son-in-law Steve Holle; his stepdaughter Sherry Haas; his brothers, Jim, William and Robert; and his grandson Christopher Allen Kneuss.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Gast (Richard Gast) of Dayton, Nancy Holle (Becky Adams) of Indianapolis and Jenny Arrowood (Denise Gast-Hawkins) of Mooresville, IN; his stepsons, John Barker (Fran) and Gary Haas; and his sister Jean Bergman (Jack) of St. Henry. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
