He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Russell Matthews Sr. and Bessie "Leah" Matthews (Mottinger); his sisters, Mary Ellen Matthews, Margaret (Donald McBride), Marilyn Zizelman Stewart (Eugene Zizelman), Glenn R. Matthews Jr., Norma Jean (Milton Davidson) and Judy Kay Menchofer; and his brother-in-law Billy.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly R. Matthews (Hall); his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Sue Matthews; his daughter Deb Matthews of Celina; his grandchildren, Sherri Black, Amy Matthews, Kelly Uhlenhake, Paige Matthews, Ridge Allen Matthews, Sierra Matthews and Victoria Lewis; and his brother-in-law Steve (Linda Hall).
