She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Updyke and Bessie Updyke (Ide); her husbands, Jack R. Payne and Walter L. Griffeth; and her siblings, Barbara Williams, Charles Updyke and Kenneth Updyke.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Ereddia (Anthony), Paulette Hegg (Timothy), Jacqueline Pyles (Daniel), Joel Payne (Tommie) and Ellen Battaglia (John); and her sister Beverly Wilson. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
