She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Torbet and Olive Torbet; her brother Robert Torbet of Wayne, NJ; and her granddaughter Melinda Pinkerton of Cedarville, OH.. She is survived by: her husband J. Alfred Pinkerton (Al) of Laurel Fork, VA; her children, Susan Hilker (Tom) of Elkhorn, WI, Jim Pinkerton (Lois) of Kernersville, NC, Steve Pinkerton (Tess) of Bemidji, MN, Mark Pinkerton (Bonnie) of Cedarville, OH, Jean Lanning (Ed) of Hillsville, VA and Cheryl Patterson (Rory) of Lynchburg, VA.; and her siblings-in-law, Grace Torbet of Jekyll Island, GA and Ed Howry of Berlin, NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
