He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alfred and Joyce Elinor Braithwaite (Gunderson); his brothers, Donald, Dr. Wilfred and Alfred Braithwaite; and his niece Dorothy Braithwaite.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Vivian Karlson (Fred), Dr. Gilbert Braithwaite (Pamela), David Hung (Susan) and Nathan Ngai (Nancy); and his nieces and nephews, Debbie Anderson (Johnny), David Braithwaite (Tanya), Danny Braithwaite, Carly VanSingel (Karlson) and Joyanne. He is also survived by cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.
