He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra K. "Sandy" Purdin; and his siblings, Eileen Roberts, Ima Ary, Mary Curtis, Beulah Dean, Martha Kiddie, Wayne, Paul, Joe and Gene Purdin.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Cooper (Tom), Andrew Purdin (Kim) and Scott Purdin (Christy); and his grandchildren, Max Purdin (Maggie), Tyler Purdin (Kristy), Bailey Purdin, Zoe Purdin, Ally Welden (Anthony), Samuel Purdin, Drew Purdin (Adrianna), Jackson Cooper and Carson Cooper. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959, in his memory.
