He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Fred and Anna Hetzel (Kwiatkowski). He is survived by: his girlfriend Mary Kohler; his girlfriend's children, Robert Scott and Crystal Machamer; his grandsons, Mark Blosser, Jason Kortgoede and Alan Kortgoede; and also Dean Hetzel (Rebecca) of Toledo, OH.

Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warriors.
