Ocie Collins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ocie Collins (Castalia, Ohio), who passed away on August 13, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Laferty and Poppie Laferty (Shepherd); and her brothers, Hancer, Otis, Joshua and Curt.
She is survived by: her children, Carl, Shelley and Krista; her former husband Ryan Adkins; her great grandchildren, Carlie, Jamison and Rylie; her former husband Jim Kish; her great grandchildren, Ashley and Kaitlyn; her husband Aaron Newman; her great great grandchildren, Colton, Paisley and Cayden; her grandchildren, Aaron, Jolene (Sarah), Brett and Anne; and her siblings, Art Laferty (Joan), Mitchell Laferty (Edith), Marie Yontz, Jossie Furr, Effie Voltz (Don), Barb Wagner (Ray) and Linda Smith (Andy). She is also survived by her in-laws, grandchildren (6), great grandchildren (8), and great great grandchildren.
Keeping with Ocie's goal of helping others, she has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Margaretta Fire Department Rescue Squad, Back to the Wild, or one's favorite charity.
