It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josefina Avila of Castalia, Ohio, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Feliciano Santana and Victoria Santana (Esparza); her husband Jesus Avila; her daughter Rosalina; and her son-in-law Michael Gale.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hart (Larry), Delia Fleming (Bill), Salvador Santana, Jorge Santana, Bob Avila (Jackie) and Ruben Avila (Kari). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, OH 44870, and Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave. Sandusky.
