He was predeceased by: his daughter Jordan; his father David Bauer; his grandparents, Linus and Elizabeth Bauer; his uncle Charles Bauer; and his cousin Bill Bauer.

He is survived by: his son Jared; his daughter-in-law Alysha Bauer; his daughter Jennifer; his grandson Zachary; his significant other Amber Rogers; his significant other's child Ryder Rogers; and his siblings, Lisa Dircks (Kevin), Michael Bauer (Laura), Beth Miller (David) and Scott Bauer. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
