He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Couser and Mary Couser (Zimmerman); his wife Helen P. Couser (Allen); and his siblings, Joseph, Mark Couser, Miriam Leonard (Couser) and Esther Kreitzer (Couser).
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Couser (Debbie) of Piqua, James Couser (Mary) of Troy, David Couser (Tanya) of Fletcher and Robert Couser (Vicky) of Fletcher; and his grandchildren, Jerrod, Jennifer, Angela, Anita, James, Amy, Neil, Leah and Matthew. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
