He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Simmons and Ruby Cogsal Simmons; his wife Janet Roudebush; his daughter Diane Wilson; and his sisters, Mary, Myrtle, Ida and Betty Jean.
He is survived by: his sons, Billy Simmons (Terri) of Carrollton and Jeff Simmons of Mechanicstown; and his close friend Marsha Beadnell. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
