He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Claprood and Nora Claprood (Sheppherd); his wife Claudette Claprood; his stepson William Szpak; and his siblings, Richard Claprood and Katherine Lutz.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Phillips; his daughter-in-law Tammy Szpak; his grandchildren, John Phillips, Carrie Bohren, Sandy Purdom (Brent), Shawna Grove (Stephen) and Jerrica Paul (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Alyssa, Aaron, Olivia, Evan, Nevaeh, Keeleigh and Randi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
