He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny W. Uptagrafft and Maggie Mae Uptagrafft (Stone); his wife Lillian Anderson; his son John W. Uptagrafft; and his brothers, Howard, LaVon and Lamar Uptagrafft.
He is survived by: his children, H. Dean Uptagrafft of Fostoria, Michael E. Uptagrafft (late Amber) of Detroit, MI and Marianne Steward (Tim) of New Castle, IN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
