He was predeceased by: his father Howard N. Hursey. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn S. Hursey (Mckenzie) of Southport, NC.; his daughter Brooklin Reeves (Jerrod) of Caledonia; and his brothers, Jason Hursey of Cardington and Howard "Hersh" Hurey of Southport.
