He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Mentzer and Emma Mentzer (Rice); his great grandchild Briar Smith; his brother Roy Mentzer; and his sister-in-law Dulcena Mentzer.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mentzer (Blankenship); his children, Mark Mentzer, Lori Mentzer and Nicki Mentzer (Jason Gregg); his grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Scott), Keagan Mentzer (Robyn), Casey Beck, Autumn Mentzer, Quinton Beck (Emily), Garrett Mentzer (Madison), Shandy Middleton, Travis Mentzer (Mya Watson) and Hunter Mentzer; and his siblings, Jake Mentzer (Pam), Pauline Butler, Bonnie Noland and Mary Shrock (Gary). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Flowers Snyder Funeral Home (619 E High St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
