He was predeceased by: his parents, Delazon G. Sparks and Idella E. Sparks (Ault); his son Randy Sparks; his sister Janice; his brother-in-law Hal Clinger; his father-in-law Harold R. Powell; and his niece Dawn Renee Brammer.
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his sister Barb Henthorne (Bill); his mother-in-law Charlotte Powell; his children, Daniel Sparks (Cheryl), Roger Sparks (Julia), Robert Miller, Heather Creager (Tyler), Mark Powell Sr., Richard Powell (Seby), Ed Powell (Valerie), Terri Redmond (Dean), Lisa Crothers (John) and Beth McCain (Tim); his grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn), Nathan, Kendra, Kurtis, Madison, Kellen Sparks, Daetom Dewey, Patton Miller, Connor, Cavan, Kyden and Kenzie Creager; and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Kendall, Riley and Ariel Sparks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
