He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Dayton Brandum and Thelma Brandum (McPeek); his wife Thelma Marie Ruggles; his children, Lowell "Junior" Brandum Jr. and Debbie Ellis; and his sisters, Winnie Foster and Dorothy Landford.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Doc" Brandum (Karolyn) of Cardington and Cathy Hayes of Fredericktown; and his daughter-in-law Betty Brandum (Ruth Harshner) of Cardington. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
