Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joyce leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Elkins and Ruble Elkins (Slemp); her spouse Thomas "T. J." Powers; her daughter-in-law Tammy Thacker-Powers; and her siblings, Linda Gregory, Sue Cantrell and Jimmy Elkins.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Powers (Cathy) of Cardington; and her siblings, Janice Collins of Pound, VA, Donnie Elkins (Barbara) of Pound, VA, Helen Hobbs of Pound, VA and Freddie Elkins (Mona) of Wise, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
