He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bennett and Grace Bennett (Fisher); his former wife Ruth Bennett (Martin); and his siblings, LeRoy Bennett and Betty Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Doubikin; and his children, John Bennett II (Barbie) of Ashcamp, KY, Jan Stanley of Clintwood and Melissa Stallard (Herbie) of Flemingsburg, KY. He is also survived by five grandchildren, sixteen step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and fourteen step great-grandchildren.
