He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan A. Mattix and Maude M. Mattix (Osborne); his wife Margaret S. Bailey; and his brothers, Bill, Rex, Bernard and Richard Mattix.
He is survived by: his son Warren Mattix (Susan) of Mount Gilead; his siblings, Sue Allison (Willy) of Florida and Dwight Mattix (Connie) of Wharton; and his grandsons, Gavin and Landon Mattix.
