He was predeceased by: his parents, Selby L. Gompf and Mildred N. Gompf (Galleher); his children, Debra Mary and Michael William Gompf; and his siblings, Richard Gompf and Eileen Gompf.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Marie (Shoults); his daughters, Karen Hatfield (James) of Cardington, Diane Hamlin (Richard) of Portage, MI and Teresa Youshock (Gene) of Chesapeake, VA; his grandchildren, Christina Roberts, Cody Franks, Nathan Franks, Kati Schmelzer, Andrea Stinchcomb, Emily Hamlin and Justin Hamlin; and his brothers, Robert and Harold Gompf. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
