He is survived by: his sons, John Bateman Jr. (Kacie) of Albany and Jeremy Bateman of Carbon Hill; his grandchildren, Hailie, Alex and Jovie Bateman; his siblings, Ron Bateman (Connie) of Logan, Don Bateman (Jane) of Longstreth, Kendra Wilson (Charles) of Logan, Karen Bush (Jim) of Logan and Keita Trowbridge of Longstreth; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Brooks (Rodney) of Albany and Larry VanDyke (Jackie) of Athens.
