It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia M. Varner of Canton, Ohio, born in Minerva, Ohio, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Vosi and Mary Vosi (Russ); her former husband Bobby L. Sampson; her husband Leland D. Varner; and her siblings, Mary Buta, Emma Maldoven, Grace Vosi, Annie Vosi, Virginia "Ginny" Fitzgerald, John Vosi and Louis Vosi.

She is survived by: her nephews, Steve Vosi (Sue) and Dale Sampson (Darlene); her niece Millie Buta; and her stepchildren, David L. Varner (Sharon) and Brenda Benson (Bruce).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Canton or the Canton Christian Home.
