He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Couts and Stella Couts (Stonebrook); his wife Carol Shepard; his son-in-law Doug Koffel; his sister Margaret; and his brother-in-law Vernon Stocker.
He is survived by: his children, Cathi Koffel, Julie, Mike Mesaros, Jim and Brenda Couts. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
