He is survived by: his wife LoLita Ackerman (Carroll); his daughter Monica Backer; his granddaughter Erika Cavanaugh (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Jonathan and Cecelia; his siblings, Bill Ackerman and Brenda Sommer (Jim); and his sister-in-law LaRue Hess. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, Inc. (730 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
