She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Merrick and Ellen Hennis Garvin; her daughter Jo Ellen "Josie" Burkhart; and her siblings, Richard Garvin and Jean Henderson (Tom).
She is survived by: her daughter Sheena Lewton (Bill) of Jewett; her adoptive daughter Alice Stout of Dover; her granddaughters, Ashley Rayner (Aaron) of Louisville and Brittany Barker (Scott) of Louisville; and her great grandchildren, Landon and Hayes. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
