John Anthony Burns Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Anthony Burns of Canton, Ohio, whose life came to an end on March 21, 2025 at the age of 53, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Jeannie Burns of Lorain, Ohio.. He is survived by: his father Phil Burns (Shelia); his wife Lisa Fay Burns (Light); his children, Sarah Catherine Moyer (Curtis) of Canton, OH and Jason Andrew Burns of Chesterfield, VA; his grandchildren, Roman Alexander Burns and Ruby Claire Burns; his siblings, Andrew Burns of Middletown, OH, Chris Burns of Vermillion, OH and Magan (Vivian) McGee; his aunt Dawn Costello of Lorain, OH; his close friends, Troy Manley (Laurie), Mark Sullivan, Scott Welling, Patrick Walker and Dawn Brown; and his sisters, Mother Gertrude and Mary Agnes (Debbie Saunders). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (1211 E Maple St, North Canton, OH 44720). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio or the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association (CVMA OH 12-3).
