It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan B. Boone of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Joan's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joan has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Shafer and Peggy Carlise; her husband Melvin P. Boone Sr.; her daughter Dolly Boone; and her sisters, Louise and Hazel.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Boone, Larry Boone and Melvin Boone Jr. (Deborah); and her brothers, Gerald Shafer and Richard Schaffer (Ruby). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren;3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel (705 Raff Rd SW, Canton, OH 44710). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
