She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. James P. Connor; her brothers, Michael New and John New; and her parents, Michael New and Mary New.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Erin Mayfield (Stephen), Jamie Fairchild (Doug) and James P. Connor II (Kassia); and her grandchildren, Keane, Mycah Fairchild and James Connor III.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the YWCA Emergency Shelter for Women and Children, Canton, OH.

“We loved Renie! She was one of our favorite people at Christ Presbyterian Church. We took trips together, but most memorably were our trips to Israel and the Holy Land and Oberammergau. We enjoyed visiting in her home and were blessed to spend an overnight with her. She was energetic and enthusiastic. She loved bric-a-brac and jewelry and we became concerned that she would pass her affection for this to our daughter, Meredith. We will miss her phone calls and cards.”
