He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Ringer and Bertha Ringer (Weisel); his brother Larry Ringer; his granddaughter Jerrilynn Ringer; and his stepdaughter-in-law Tracie Boltres.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Ringer (Oswald-Boltres) of Canton; his siblings, William Ringer (Candance) and Carol Ringer (Sis); his sister-in-law Cynthia Ringer (Larry) of Hartville; the mother of his children Carol Ringer of Sebring; his children, Charles Ringer (Diane) of Canton, John Ringer (Sue) of North Canton, Kathleen Ringer of Malvern and Daniel Ringer (Ashley) of Akron; his stepsons, Scott Boltres of Johnstown, Jan Boltres of St. Petersburg, FL, Patrick Boltres of Arvada, CO and Mark Boltres (Autumn) of Canton; and his grandchildren, Jack Ringer (Hannah), Rosemary Ringer, Jacqlynn Ringer, Alex Ringer, Casey Ringer, Grace Maley (Tommy Gliatta) and Cole Maley (Abby). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
