She was predeceased by: her father Edgar Powell. She is survived by: her mother Lillian Powell; her daughters, Desiree Gissentaner, Jasmine Maarschalk and Oneisha Whitehurst; and her siblings, Bertha M. Johnson, Edgar A. Powell Jr. and Donell Powell. She is also survived by three grandchildren, seven nieces, six nephews, and other relatives.
